Dr. Hrishit Banerjee is a theoretical condensed matter physicist and has been working as a Lecturer in Physics at the University of Dundee since January 2024. He completed his PhD (August 2012-June 2018) at the S N Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata. He held a Research Fellowship at ICTP and worked at CNR Instituto SPIN, Chieti (June 2018-March 2019). He then gained experience in Dynamical Mean Field Theory at Technische Universität Graz (April 2019-April 2021). Shifting to energy research, he moved to the University of Cambridge (April 2021-Jan 2024) to study Li-ion battery degradation funded by The Faraday Institution.
