Dr. Siddharth Gadkari is a lecturer in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University of Surrey. Previously, he served as a UKRI Industrial Innovation Fellow from 2018 to 2021, during which he conducted pioneering research on the development of bioelectrochemical systems. These systems are utilized in a variety of applications, including metal recovery and carbon capture.
His research interests are positioned at the nexus of chemical engineering, electrochemistry, and environmental science. Currently, he is part of a project focused on the recovery of critical metals, such as lithium, from spent Li-ion batteries using an innovative bioelectrochemical approach (BB/X011372/1).
