Dr. Buddha Deka Boruah is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Materials Discovery, University College London (UCL), UK. He completed his B.Sc. in Physics at Cotton College, Assam, India, and his M.Sc. in Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India. He obtained his M.S. in Engineering-Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India. Before joining UCL in 2022, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on designing and synthesizing advanced materials for energy storage systems, including Zn-ion, Li-ion batteries, and Supercapattery, and unconventional energy storage technologies.
