Letizia Liirò Peluso

Letizia Liirò Peluso is a Faraday Institution-funded Postdoctoral Research Fellow within the Nottingham Applied Materials and Interfaces (NAMI) group at the University of Nottingham, a multidisciplinary research team dedicated to advancing next-generation energy storage technologies. Since joining LiSTAR in May 2024, her research has focused on the mechanistic understanding of conventional lithium–sulfur battery systems. Prior to this, she was awarded an EPSRC Doctoral Prize. Letizia earned a MSc (Hons.) in Supramolecular Chemistry and Nanotechnology from the University of Messina (Italy) in 2018 and completed her PhD in Materials Chemistry at Nottingham in 2023. In 2022 she was award the RSC 2022 Materials Chemistry Division Horizon Prize: Stephanie L Kwolek Award, a team-based prize for the invention of chiral organic materials that allow high control of photon and electron spin.
