Dr Virginia Echavarri-Bravo

“Dr Virginia Echavarri-Bravo is a Faraday Research Fellow at the Horsfall Lab, University of Edinburgh. As part of the ReLiB project, her research focuses on developing sustainable recycling methods to recover critical and strategic metals from spent lithium-ion batteries using engineering biology. Virginia has a diverse academic background, holding an MEng in Agricultural Engineering, an MSc in Marine Biotechnology, and a PhD in Microbiology and Nanotoxicology. She has experience in both industry and academia. Virginia bring expertise in a wide range of analytical and experimental techniques related to nanotechnology, materials characterization, engineering biology, and sustainability.”
