Dr Nuria Tapia-Ruiz

Nuria Tapia-Ruiz is Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Imperial College London, where she leads the Tapia-Ruiz Group, a multidisciplinary team advancing the chemistry of materials for next-generation lithium-ion and beyond lithium-ion batteries. Her research investigates novel electrode materials, electrolytes and the interphases that form between them, probing structure–property relationships using advanced diffraction and spectroscopic techniques at synchrotron and neutron facilities including Diamond, ISIS, and the ESRF. She is the co-Director of the Electrochemistry Network at Imperial College London and project leader of NEXGENNA, the Faraday Institution’s flagship sodium-ion battery programme.
