Dr Gabriele Pupo

Dr Gabriele Pupo is the CEO and Founder of FluoRok, a spin-out of the University of Oxford rethinking access to critical fluorochemicals for the energy transition, health and food supply. Co-inventor of the core technology, Gabriele is a chemist by training, with 10+ years’ experience in catalysis and fluorination. Gabriele holds a MChem from the University of Torino (Italy), a PhD from the Max Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung, Germany (with Nobel laureate Benjamin List) and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford, UK with Véronique Gouverneur. He has built partnerships across the chemical value chain and strengthened his leadership and negotiating skills through executive training, including the Saïd Business School Executive Leadership Programme. A deep advocate for the sustainable future of chemistry, he is committed to the safer, greener, cost competitive and localised European supply of critical fluorochemicals to meet our net-zero targets.
