Stiven Lopez Guzman is a third-year PhD student at the University of the Basque Country and CICenergiGUNE. His doctoral research focuses on the direct recycling of LiNi₀.₅Mn₁.₅O₄ and silicon/graphite electrodes from various states-of-life, aiming to evaluate separation and regeneration methods that enable effective recycling of active battery materials. His work contributes to the EU Horizon-funded HighSpin project, dedicated to developing advanced battery technologies for automotive and aeronautical applications. His research interests include sustainable materials for battery manufacturing, circular economy strategies, and advanced characterization techniques. His presentation will highlight significant advancements and practical implications of the direct recycling of LNMO.
