Dhammika Widanage is Head of Battery Modelling at Breathe, where he leads the battery modelling strategy and simulation product development. He joined Breathe in April 2024.
Previously, he was a Reader at WMG, University of Warwick, where he specialised in lithium-ion battery modelling and developed research in close collaboration with industrial partners such as JLR, Aston Martin, McLaren, and Eatron. He served as Co-Investigator on the Faraday Multi-scale Modelling Project and Principal Investigator on multiple grants funded by the Faraday Institution and Innovate UK.
Dhammika completed his studies from the University of Warwick where holds a BEng in Electronic Engineering and a PhD in System Identification.
