Kirstie McCombie is a Research Fellow at WMG, University of Warwick, specializing in the direct recycling of cathode active materials for lithium-ion batteries from production scraps. Prior to joining WMG, Kirstie held a postdoctoral position within the Materials Science and Engineering department at the University of Sheffield, working on the synthesis and development of cathode materials. Kirstie obtained her PhD in Chemistry from the University of Aberdeen in 2019, where her research focussed on investigating structure-property relationships in oxide-ion conducting hexagonal perovskites for solid oxide fuel cell applications.
