Selected Talk | New Battery Chemistries & Interfaces (1) | Wednesday 10th September 2025 – 10:30 – 12:30 – The Theatre, First Floor

Dr Juliane Fiates is a Faraday Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Newcastle University. She earned her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Campinas (Brazil) in 2020, with part of her research being conducted at the University of Notre Dame (US), where she worked on atomistic simulations of electrolytes and interfaces for Li-air batteries. Since August 2023, she has been part of the Faraday Degradation project, investigating degradation mechanisms in anode-free batteries. Her current work focuses on modelling solid electrolyte interfaces (SEI) in Li-based systems. She also serves on the Faraday ECR Committee and the leadership team of LatinX in ChE (AIChE).
