Dr Carmen M. López is a Senior Scientist in the Electrochemistry Group at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) with more than 25 years of professional experience including 13+ years in Lithium-based batteries and electrochemistry. She has lived and worked in seven different countries in three continents, where she had led the kickstart of five research programs and commissioned four laboratory facilities. At NPL she is the technical leader of the Faraday project RProBatt (Reproducibility in Processing and Testing for High Energy Batteries).
In her spare time, she writes fiction and blogs, draws and paints, and does electronic graphic design.
